Elections November 2023
Commentary for Proposition 14 (SJR 74)
Prop 14 is a clear choice..
  •  Proposing a constitutional amendment providing for the creation of the centennial parks conservation fund.

It establishes a Trust Fund for managing Texas park properties outside of the State Treasury. A purported billion dollars. The entire Bexar delegation voted for this bill (minus Rep Dorazio).

Quote from Luke Metzger, Executive Director of Environment Texas: "This historic legislation would create a new golden age for our state parks. 2023 marks the centennial of the Texas state parks system and we have a lot to celebrate. What a great birthday present to give all Texans for the state parks system’s 100th.”

Vote YES on SJR 74.
