In just weeks since taking office, Trump has eliminated the jobs ofover 200,000 federal workers at more than a dozen agencies. Of the 2.2 million federal workers who live and work in every state across the country, Joint Base San Antonio alone provides for 242,000 direct and indirect jobs in our area, and it pumps $55 billion into the Texas economy. But we have federal workers in the VA, HUD and so many more. The Bexar County Democratic Party stands with our area's civil servants, veterans, and military spouses. We recognize the critical role they play in delivering vital public services to our community.
